Head of Sales

We are looking for an influential, experienced and well-connected leader to join our team as Head of Sales. 

Incredible opportunity for a Head of Sales to join Harvest. Your role will not only shape our Sales function but elevate the overall value proposition of the business. Located in the stunning Byron Bay region, with great working conditions and team culture.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with our Events team, your key roles and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to;

Leadership & collaboration 

- Provide leadership to, and influence the Sales and Events department
- Manage, mentor and train sales team members to allow for continuous interpersonal development.
- Ensure a process driven approach to your work, conducting weekly sales pipelines meetings, regular team and one-on-one meetings that ensures team cohesiveness and maximises value between departments (e.g., Sales and Events).
- Work with the Events Manager to create relevant in demand packages and offerings across venues
- Collaborate with the marketing team on internal ‘experience’ Harvest events, managing calendars to maximise event content & revenue for the group.
- Conduit that provides relevant communication and creates cohesion between the Sales and Events team, other relevant business units and our Senior Management Team
- Implement and deliver weekly and monthly sales status reports to senior management team

Sales & Commercials

- A focus on strategic new business and proactive outreach, driving corporate and private event sales and special one-off events
- Key client relationship management, continuing to grow and build relationship with key business and industry contacts
- Act as an integral ambassador to any new Harvest venue openings: set-up and activation
- Responsible for full sales tracking across venues towards annual events target, including responsibility for the team achieving sales targets.
- Implement minimum spends and pricing structure reviews specialty date/period pricing review
- Identify sales processes and improvements to action insights, with a view to improving sales and business opportunities.
- Identify growth opportunities for the business and enable sales improvements
- Driving awareness for the wider Harvest group, creating and implementing sales strategy techniques
- Working with existing CRM system to build and maintain key client database, prospects and accurately track prospects
- Attending industry networking events to foster existing relationships and form new business contacts

Marketing Manager

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team.

As our Marketing Manager, you couple your creativity with your ability to plan seamlessly, you execute and bring our Marketing strategy to life with the ultimate objective of connecting authentically with our audience and supporting business growth.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, key outcomes your will need to deliver include, but will not be limited to;

- Leading and working alongside the Marketing Director, you help to develop creative integrated campaigns for across the Harvest precinct, ensuring you create and execute plans
across social media, website content and on-precinct marketing of events.
- Develop the Harvest website content ensuring it reflects events and happenings and work with the wider teams to execute their platforms and content, ensuring ease of use for the
end user.
- Routinely run reports and data analytics that provides useful insights into our social media and website engagement, highlighting areas where we are doing well, and where we have
opportunities to generate greater engagement resulting in positive business outcomes.
- Foster and nurture local relationships that will help connect Harvest with the right people who can support the business, and ensure a wide community is aware of everything
happening across the Harvest precinct.
- With a clear understanding of the Harvest vision and brand, create social media content that is aligned to our brand and generates high levels of engagement. Manage the community on
all social media channels - Instagram, Facebook - using this as a source of instant and up to date information for our audience.
- Manage Google my Business listing for the precinct.
- Work with the wider Harvest team to ensure all information for events and programming is gathered and confirmed to inform the marketing timeline.
- Content production — overseeing the production of creative content for social media and website, working to brief and manage photographers, and seeking out the information we
need from the Harvest team to feed into social media and website content and storytelling.
- As the gatekeeper of social media on the ground, be available to capture updates throughout the week on iPhone that can be edited for social media usage.
- Manage Harvest database including maximising sign ups, and optimising engagement with this audience ongoing.
- Create and distribute regular monthly EDM newsletters through MailChimp, optimising content for conversion, and looking for ways to increase engagement and performance.
- Assist with coordination of press materials and relations.

About you:

- You are highly organised and have strong administration skills, which allows you to project manage campaigns of multiple sizes concurrently.
- Excellent copywriting skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.
- Tech savvy with a high proficiency with social media platforms, web design, scheduling apps, email marketing software (Mailchimp) and design apps such as Canva.
- Ensure the successful execution of your role through operating in a dynamic, professional and flexible manner.
- Have the drive to keep your finger on the pulse with social media and marketing trends, ensuring Harvest remains relevant, ahead of the game and fosters high levels of engagement
from our customer base.
- Creativity comes second nature to you, allowing you to create content and events that positively influences the Harvest brand and engages our community in an authentic way, delivering exceptional outcomes.
- Be a natural collaborator who works well with others, yet thrives working autonomously, both in which contribute to a conducive team environment.
- Be highly analytical which allows you to measure and report on the impact of your activities and plans.
- Have a growth mindset and passion for continuous improvement which allows you to constantly assess your efforts and apply thinking as to how you better engage with customers.

Senior Finance Manager

About you:

With a sharp commercial acumen, you’re all things finance to Harvest. You effectively lead a small team to ensure we manage our finance and payroll systems with integrity and accuracy.

Trusted by staff, senior management and stakeholders, you drive discipline, accountability and performance through your financial leadership.

More specifically, you:

  • Have a niche for building effective relationships with the Harvest leadership team and influence alignment to our overall financial objectives and budget requirements, helping position each manager towards revenue growth.
  • Think critically with a data driven approach to your work, and technically savvy with the ability to work across multiple systems.
  • Lead your small team with compassion and impart your strong knowledge in the sphere of business and commercial acumen to ensure growth and mentorship is embedded into the every day.
  • Are a natural collaborator who works well with others, yet thrives working autonomously, both in which create a conducive team environment that allows great financial outcomes to be delivered.
  • Have balanced energy and thinking allows you to look holistically to understand the landscape of our business, delivering on both the short and long term financial objectives for Harvest.
  • Create narrative through effective storytelling and communication that speaks the language of financial reporting in a way that your non-finance peers understand.
  • Are highly articulate and have the ability to problem solve - investigate an issue when it arises and work with the team to provide a solution.

About the role - key outcomes:

  • To a high standard, develop and analyse financial and management reports on a routine basis that allows for actionable insights, supports key decision making and drives better performance outcomes.
  • Leading the finance function, you are a key driving force that steers Harvest towards long-term profitability through performance analysis, driving value creation and alignment between strategy, planning and delivery.
  • You strategise at a high level, but have the ability to stay across the detail to identify trends, patterns and opportunities, particularly when it comes to staying across wages, cost of goods versus targets and variances against budgets.
  • Your proactive approach when it comes to the reporting and analysing of financial data and your ability to draw meaning from this is what will create a tangible difference and influence the behaviour of your peers when it comes to management of their budgets, targets and cost of goods.
  • Effectively manage cash flow in line with our budgets and produce accurate forecasting that demonstrates intuitive thinking and insights. 
  • Establish and manage processes that allow you to drive accountability in respects to project and finance system outcomes.
  • With a clear understanding of both our short and long term objectives, this allows you to build a strategy for solvency.
  • Seamlessly monitor and prepare financial details, such as our tax obligations to ensure all our compliance needs are met.
  • Routinely run and manage end to end payroll, ensuring on time and accurate results, with assurance of data integrity.
  • Effectively oversee the inventory management processes and practices in line with our current system, influencing peers and aligning the team to use the system that allows for more informed decision making and better cost and stock outcomes in line with our budget parameters.

When it comes to experience required, ideally, you’ve got 7 years minimum in finance management/leadership roles with a tertiary qualification in finance/accounting related field(s).

Assistant Deli Manager

As a creative and innovative thinker, coupled with your passion for retail, you closely support our Deli Manager to build upon and elevate our Deli, with a particular focus on the stock, retail and merchandising side of the business.

- You have the ability to research current industry trends and remain on the cutting edge of visual design and merchandising.

Bartender

Mixing passion, personality and skill, you are in integral part of our talented Restaurant and Bar team. Through having exceptional knowledge of your craft, you will provide a best-in-class service to our customers through making and serving a varying array of beverages.

Baker

Your main game is that you are one of our talented Bakers. Sourdough is one of our passions, and our ‘Sourdough Weekends’ are one of the things we are renowned for, so ideally you have experience in sourdough making and lamination, plus any experience with wood-fired ovens would also be beneficial.

- You have a deep appreciation for the baking craft and have a desire to expand your artisan baking knowledge.
- You’re an exceptional team member and enjoy working with others, however you also can work independently.

Deli Chef & Pastry Chef

You lead the creation of amazing artisan deli food, such as sandwiches, salads, soup, cakes, and pastries. More broadly, both roles assist in influencing the success of the Deli part of our business through curating an offering that that tells the Harvest story and reflects our brand values.

About you:

- You are both creative and meticulous with your approach, which allows you to prepare a beautifully curated food offering for our Deli business.

-You are inherently motivated which is evident through your passion and demonstrated through the food offering you prepare for our Deli.

Restaurant Front of House

You are in integral part of our exceptional Restaurant Front of House (FOH) team that ensures our service is centred around excellence, engagement and connection. Contingent on your placement, your role will involve welcoming guests and escorting them to their tables, conveying their requests to the kitchen, assisting in managing reservations and transporting food and drink orders - to name a few things.

Harvest is looking for Chefs of all levels to join our already existing talented team.

Quite simply, we are looking for chefs that are just as passionate about food and sustainability as we are, who can prepare and execute our food offering to an exceptional standard.
