Located 15 minutes from Byron Bay in the heart of Newrybar, Harvest is a must-visit destination in the Northern Rivers. Stop by for a morning coffee stock up on gourmet supplies from the deli, enjoy a long lunch or dinner of local produce overlooking the garden, or catch one of our family-friendly events. There is something for everyone at Harvest.
Set within the historic village of Newrybar in the Northern Rivers hinterlands, you’ll find locally owned Harvest - a thriving food and hospitality precinct with community at its heart. Here, a connection between produce and people is encouraged. A contemporary restaurant led by a team of Australia’s most talented and forward-thinking chefs shifts with the local seasons, a bakery with a 120-year-old wood-fired oven uses native and local grains, baking sourdough for the community each day and an artisan delicatessen with an adjacent edible garden and village green provides a place for community to gather. Since its inception in 2007 Harvest has always been committed to an ecological way of life with a focus on locality and seasonality – even before it was a baseline in the industry.
Showcasing the diversity of local produce and supporting the farmers, growers and artisans behind everything it serves, Harvest is not only one of the Northern Rivers region’s most exciting dining experiences, but has engaged community at every corner. What started out as a farm to table approach has continued to evolve into an ambition that aspires to change Australia’s relationship with food. Harvest offers visitors the opportunity to learn, connect and taste the difference when you commit to eating sustainably sourced, local food that encompasses the many variables that impact Australia’s growing and farming seasons.
PRODUCE BOXES
In early 2020, COVID-19 took hold of the country and shut down most of the world as we knew it. Having been a long time dream of the owners to deliver farm fresh produce that we coveted in the restaurant to our community, the owners took off on their journey of the Harvest Produce Box.
Every Harvest Produce Box benefits farmers, helps create a circular economy, and educates consumers on native food and the importance of locality, seasonality, and regenerative agriculture.
In May of 2021, Harvest Marketplace took a moment to pause with their weekly produce boxes and expand on the infrastructure and develop plans for the future.
